Wing Ding 2001 Day 2

The Wing Ding started bright and early with a quick breakfast and the arrival of the rest of the cadets.  The first activity was the model rocketry class where cadets constructed rockets to launch on Sunday.  After that cadets competed in a stretcher-bearing course outside.  Cadets were challenged to transport their "victims" through a series of obstacles and not drop their "victim."  After lunch the cadets took a tour of Army Aviation Support Facility 2 at the Waterloo Airport. The cadets then went to the Waterloo Air Traffic Control Tower and got to see what Air Traffic Controllers and Radar Controllers do.  Then it was a light dinner of 18 pizzas and it was off to the University of Northern Iowa Recreation Center for rock climbing and swimming.

Whatever You Do Don't Drop Me!
