Ames, Iowa—Major Doug Jansen relinquished command of the Central Iowa Composite Squadron to First Lieutenant Anita Elliott at a ceremony at Ames Airport Tuesday night. The Central Iowa Composite Squadron is based out of Ames and has been distinguished as the 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 Iowa Wing Unit of the Year.

“I look forward to continuing on the path Major Jansen has lead us on,” stated Lieutenant Elliott “We will continue to increase the number of CAP volunteers in Central Iowa and help make Civil Air Patrol known throughout the community.”
