Professional Development

Iowa Wing Professional Development Program
The Civil Air Patrol has over 30,000 adult members nationwide. With all of these members comes a need for training and development. That's where the Professional Development directorate focuses its attention, providing quality, up-to-date training to keep our adult volunteers up to speed and at their best.  Our training includes areas of management, leadership, and technical skills.

The first step is to complete the Level 1 Orientation Course and Cadet Protection Program Training (CPPT).  This is a relatively simple training that is conducted on an as needed basis at each of the local units in Iowa Wing.  Competent instructors will teach you the basics to the CAP program.  The entire Senior Training Program is broken up into five levels.  The following links will link you to detailed information on from the Minnesota Wing's Professional Development website about each of the five levels:

Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level 4 | Level 5
