Inspector GeneralCol Sheila Waldorf, Inspector GeneralOfficial BusinessUniform IssuesWing patches were to be removed from the blue’s uniform 1 August 2006. Anyone with the title “commander” behind it, ie. squadron commander, vice-commander, deputy commander, cadet commander or flight commander, is responsible for enforcing the uniform and grooming standard. There are a number of units out there who could be doing better! Subordinate Unit InspectionsAll units in Iowa Wing have been inspected except for Ia072. The new cycle of inspections will begin soon. Each unit must be inspected every 24 months. Contacting the Inspector GeneralDo what you can to resolve your issues at the lowest possible level. Talk to your unit Deputy Commander before talking to your commander. Would you be willing to negotiate a remedy through an arbitrator versus going through the formal complaint system? No one can stop a member from contacting the Inspector General and no one is allowed to threaten you directly or indirectly if you attempt to do so. Col Sheila Waldorf | |
