Inspector General
►provides a leadership tool that indicates where command involvement is needed to correct systematic,
programmatic, or procedural weaknesses to ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently.
►creates an atmosphere of trust in which issues can be objectively and fully resolved without retaliation or the fear of reprisal.
►ensures the concerns of CAP members and the best interests of the CAP are addressed through objective fact finding.
The three regulations listed below are newly revised as of 24 March 2008:
CAPR 123-1 – The CAP Inspector General Program
CAPR 123-2 – Complaints
CAPR 123-3 – CAP Compliance Assessment Program
CAP commanders must continuously evaluate organizational readiness, efficiency and effectiveness.
The inspection system provides the commander with a credible, independent assessment process to measure
the capability of assigned resources.
Subordinate Unit Inspections are beginning in April and will continue into the Fall.
The Iowa Wing is on the 24-month cycle for inspections.
