When The Wind Blows

Tiedowns, even when chains are used, and hangars, even when made of steel, may not be tough enough to withstand a summer storm.  When a squall line passed over the Aberdeen, SD, airport one fine summer afternoon, not an aircraft tied down outside was left undamaged, and as the second photo shows, there wasn't much advantage to having an airplane "safely hangared," either.
