Too bad Don disposed of this fine example of a KC-135 just before OPEC raised oil prices; one full load of fuel in this tanker could have kept the Des Moines squadron's planes flying for years.  Said Don, "Owning the aircraft was too much of a hassle; I always felt there was someone looking over my shoulder, waiting for a handout."
