The aircraft is equipped with dual Nav/Coms, ADF, DME, transponder, a computerized Becker direction-finding radio for finding emergency locator beacons, GPS receiver programmed with search pattern capability, and a Techsonic FM radio for communicating with ground units. In addition, the aircraft is equipped to transmit still video pictures to land-based receiving equipment. The audio panel has been modified to permit simultaneous use of any two transmitters by crewmembers.
This 172 has been converted from 160hp to 180hp and is approved for a gross weight of 2550lbs instead of the standard 2400.
