• Approximately 1700 units nationwide, 12 in Iowa

• Over 62,000 members, more than 450 in Iowa

• Largest fleet of single-engine piston aircraft in the world (7 CAP-owned aircraft in Iowa, 530 CAP-owned aircraft nationwide, and 4000 member-owned aircraft nationwide)

• CAP volunteers fly in excess of 120,000 hours annually; about 1,500 of those hours are flown in Iowa

• Fleet of 950 emergency services vehicles nationwide, 11 in Iowa

• Conducts 95% of all inland search and rescue for the U.S. Air Force

• Average of 100 lives saved each year by CAP emergency services
