IOWA WING ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND AWARDS BANQUET

REGISTRATION DEADLINE is October 5th.  All registrations RECEIVED after this date will be assessed a $5.00 late charge. --Due to heightened security at the DSM ANG, the squadron has had to find temporary meeting facilities elsewhere.  Also, they are working on starting a Cadet Squadron at Camp Dodge in Johnston in the near future.

IA004 Black Hawk Composite Squadron.  Capt Bob Toenjes, Commander

--Working with new members to get qualified.  Also working on the new Aerospace program.

--LTC Steve Swails and Capt. Tom Schnell conducted the "Greatest Flight Clinic Yet" at the University of Iowa.  Students learned a lot about aviation safety and the coming changes to the CAP Operations area.

--Conducted the new general ES training on 27 Sept for its members and several members of other squadron.

Squadron Leadership School/Corporate Learning Course

Directors Capt.'s John Halbrook and Doug Jansen did an excellent job focusing on realistic hands-on training, from qualified instructors and staff for the September 29 and 30th SLS/CLC training held at Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa.

Congratulations to Capt Mike Roe, 2LT Amy Hanna, 2LT John Mikelson, 2LT Richard See, SSgt Ken Kemp, and TFO Theresa Reuter  for completion of SLS.
